ConvoRail Privacy Policy

ConvoRail is a browser extension that organises AI chat conversations into folders and lets you search and export them. It is not affiliated with OpenAI, Anthropic or Google.

What data we collect

We do not collect, sell or share your chats. The extension sends no personal data to us. There is no ConvoRail server, account, analytics or advertising.

Everything is stored only on your device:

• Folder names, chat IDs, titles and folder assignments → chrome.storage.local
• Message text of chats you open (for full-text search and export) → IndexedDB inside the extension
• Backup, Markdown, JSON and PDF files you export yourself

Sites

ConvoRail runs on chatgpt.com and chat.openai.com. ConvoRail Pro can also run on claude.ai and gemini.google.com, but only after you switch that site on in Settings and approve the browser's permission prompt. You can switch it off at any time, and the permission is removed.

When you remove ConvoRail, your browser opens a short, optional feedback page on our website (articleferry.pages.dev); its address includes only the product name and version, nothing else about you.

ConvoRail Pro licence (optional)

If you buy ConvoRail Pro, payment is handled by Dodo Payments (our merchant of record). ConvoRail never sees your card details. When you activate a licence, the extension sends only your licence key and an activation label (such as "ConvoRail · Chrome · x7k2q9") to Dodo Payments' licence API, and re-checks it about once a day. No chat content is ever sent. On Firefox you are asked to agree to this ("authentication information") before activation.

Your controls

• Remove all data by removing the extension or clearing its data in the browser's extension settings.
• Popup → Export backup / Import backup moves your data between browsers.
• Settings → Deactivate frees a licence activation and deletes the stored key.

Who is responsible

ConvoRail is made by Quiet Mooring Software, an independent developer based in India (the “data controller” for the small amount of purchase and support data described above). You can reach us at quietmooringsoftware@gmail.com.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to tell you what personal data we hold about you (usually only support emails and, if you bought Pro, order details from Dodo Payments), to correct it, or to delete it, and you can complain to your local data-protection authority. We reply within 30 days. Purchase and support data is used only to provide Pro, support and refunds, and to meet tax and legal duties; it is shared only with Dodo Payments and our email provider, which may process it outside your country.

Children

ConvoRail is not directed at children under 13 (under 16 in the EU) and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Chrome Web Store User Data Policy

The use of information received by ConvoRail adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
